III International Giardia and Cryptosporidium Conference

The Organizing Committee of the III International Giardia and Cryptosporidium Conference (III IGCC) extend a very warm welcome to the III IGCC and to the city of Orvieto. We welcome all scientists, especially those who are attending this Meeting for the first time, and hope you will all be provided with many opportunities to enrich your future research.

The scientific program will address a wide variety of topics including Taxonomy, Clinical and Molecular Epidemiology, Waterborne and Fooborne transmission, Genomics, Proteomics, Pathogenesis, Immunology, Host-Parasite Relationship and Drug Treatment.

The topics will be addressed by contributions from invited speakers, oral presentations as well as 2 poster sessions. In addition to the scientific sessions there will be a chance to meet your colleagues socially at the welcome reception on Sunday 11th October and at the Congress dinner to be held on the evening of Wednesday 14th October. Likewise you will also find some commercial exhibitors to visit. The city of Orviero and its beautiful surrounding countryside provide an opportunity to relax and to give you a taste of the rich Italian culture.

We are certain that this Congress will offer you the opportunity to listen and read excellent science, to discuss your work with all the delegates and to make new friendships and collaborations. We really hope that you will enjoy the program, the interaction with the scientists attending the Conference and the beautiful City of Orvieto.
